Molybdenum Disulfide Solid Film
Moly based ultra thin impingement coatings are used wherever conventional lubricants can not or should not be used because of high temperatures, extreme loads, corrosion or other adverse operation conditions. It is used for components operating in extreme temperature, high vacuum and other severe environments and is extremely effective for anti-galling applications.
Dry lubrication is dry-air-applied at ambient temperatures, requiring no cure time, binders, adhesives or carriers. It provides extremely low friction (coefficient of friction 0.030), and with a maximum thickness of 0.5 microns will not affect precision tolerances. Dicronite® dry lubricant bonds to metallic, ceramic and resin substrates. It does not require removal prior to repairs and can be reapplied over itself without expensive stripping.
