Mud Slurry Testing

Mud slurry testing can be an extremely valuable tool to users of bearing products where the primary failure mode is contamination from environmental operating conditions. Mud slurry testing is a fast and reliable testing method to determine the efficiency of bearing seals to guard against contamination intrusion. Consisting of a mixture of ISO coarse test dust, calcium chloride, fertilizer, and water, mud slurry testing can be utilized for all seal designs from single lip configurations to multi-lip agricultural arrangements. This extensive test determines seal quality in a timely manner for both existing design or new design configurations. Our testing facility currently consists of six mud slurry test rigs capable of testing a range of bearing sizes.
