Angelina Napoleon Meet & Greet Slated for Friday

OLEAN — In the aftermath of her spectacular performance at the 2025 World Athletics

Championships in Tokyo, Japan, in which she placed ninth overall and was the highest-finishing

American in the women’s 3000-meter steeplechase, Angelina Napoleon said she could “feel the

hometown love from 7,000 miles away.”

She could sense the myriad cheers and well-wishes from back home.

She managed to read some of the congratulatory messages on social media.

She could feel that there were droves of people in her corner.

And now, just over three months since proudly, and admirably, representing her country at

Worlds, the Allegany native would like to say thank you for the support, while also sharing an

inside look at her incredible journey from the Allegany-Limestone Central School track all the

way to the world stage.

Napoleon Engineering Services, in conjunction with Team Napoleon, will host a “meet and

greet” with Angelina this Friday, Jan. 2, from 6-8 p.m. at the NES facility, located at 1601 Johnson Street. The event, entitled “From Allegany to Tokyo: Angelina’s Odyssey to the World Championships,” will consist of a presentation made by Napoleon into the tremendous dedication and consistency needed to become a world class athlete and a Q&A session. Napoleon will also be handing out complimentary signed 8×10 publicity photos to those in attendance.

“FROM ALLEGANY to Tokyo” is free of charge and open to the public.

Mostly, it’s an opportunity for Napoleon to connect with supporters and express her gratitude

to family, friends, fans and community members before heading back to North Carolina State in

mid-January to commence her 2026 track and field season.

“Being back home has given me a tremendous opportunity to reset and reflect on the many

wonderful things that my hometown has done to help me on my journey,” said Napoleon, a 2023

Allegany-Limestone graduate. “But it’s also given me this chance to meet with community

members, business leaders, local athletes and others who share in my love for athletics and hard work while I’m home for winter break.

“I’m excited to share my story on how I took the life lessons I learned while growing up in

Allegany and channeled them into an opportunity to run for the United States of America at the

2025 World Championships in Tokyo.

“We hope to see you there on Friday night.”
